Personality: Charming, witty and outgoing, Damien is the sort of man who stands out in a crowd simply by the way he presents himself. Women adore him, men aspire to be like him, but despite his dandy looks, Damien is not afraid to get his hands dirty, and behind his sparkling gaze and dazzling smile lurks a keen mind sharpened by his Bene Gesserit mother.
History: Damien's fate has been intertwined with that of the Bene Gessserit Sisterhood from the earliest days of his life, born on Lampadas to a stationed Reverend Mother and a Guild official. Unlike most Sisters, Nerissa Lothander had been allowed to lead a regular family life with a single mated partner in the picturesque countryside of Lampadas' eastern continent, and has been a constant influence on the development of her son. The apple of her eye, Damien received more than the permitted training for males, learning tricks from his mother that the Sisterhood later made diligent use of, yet never without a certain amount of resentment towards Nerissa.
Even as a child, Damien was a charmer, a careful observer who picked up minute details about others' behaviour in the ways his mother had taught him, then using them for his own purposes. As a youth, this quality blossomed, and coupled with Damien's handsome physique it made him incredibly popular with local young ladies. He had a talent for it, a quality soon recognized by the Bene Gesserit and put to use. The Proctors of a Bene Gesserit school on Lampadas enrolled him into a special Sisterhood program, aimed at training young males in the arts of seduction and lovemaking for such cases as the Bene Gesserit needed them, either as training males for Acolytes, breeding studs or Sisterhood agents.
Damien excelled at his assignments, his cunning mind and knack for improvisation making him ideal for more complicated duties requiring advanced planning and careful execution. He is selected for the purpose of seducing the Princess Shalandra and conceiving the child which Reverend Mother Vortigern demanded for the Kwisatz Haderach program, a decision not without opposition within the Sisterhood.
